Every student-athlete that has ever donned a University of Notre Dame uniform understands that they carry with them the great tradition of generations of those that have come before them. Irish United was formed to help empower those basketball student-athletes to maximize all the endeavors they undertake while in South Bend, both on-and-off the field. Fans of Notre Dame basketball now have the opportunity to support basketball student-athletes directly by joining Irish United. Each membership level offers exclusive benefits, with funds being allocated equally among all participating team members.

Between 85 – 90%. Irish United keeps its overhead costs as low as possible, but must cover expenses related to IT, legal, marketing materials, content creation, basketball student-athlete education, fan engagement experiences, and bookkeeping. The Board of Directors review finances on an on-going basis to ensure funds are spent in ways that most benefit the athletes.

Yes, members of Irish United can denote what sport and their respective student-athletes contributions will be earmarked for. Members can also contact us directly to set up activations with their favorite basketball student-athlete(s).

Individuals and businesses interested in giving larger contributions can do so via the “one-time contribution link” on the membership page, or can contact us directly at elle@studentathletenil.com.to discuss further. Contributions can be specified for specific sports, programs and activations.

No, contracts vary based on the specific athlete and the requirements of the contributor and/or activation. Each deal is individually negotiated and agreed upon by the student-athletes. That being said, Irish United seeks to provide equal opportunities for both male and female basketball student-athletes.

No, contracts are not exclusive. We want all Irish United basketball student-athletes to thrive under NIL and take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way.

Irish United offers Notre Dame basketball student-athletes near limitless opportunities to engage in NIL activations, including: autograph signings, social media promotions, camps and clinics, charity events, special appearances, commercials, NFTs, and many more! The types of opportunities student-athletes engage in are determined by contributors and our board of directors and advisors.

While the NCAA does not allow NIL agreements to be predicated on a basketball student-athlete’s continued enrollment at a university, our agreements are limited in time and scope to provide protection for contributor funds in situations where a basketball student-athlete transfers.

No, the collective is not affiliated with the university in any way. It is a third party created to work with Notre Dame basketball student-athletes.

Basketball student-athletes cannot enter into deals that promote alcohol, drugs, pharmaceuticals, political advertising, pornography, gambling or betting, or other opportunities that go against Notre Dame values. Additionally, there must be quid-pro-quo between the athlete and an individual or business. Irish United seeks to create a wide range of NIL opportunities for basketball student-athletes that help them grow as young men and women, while also giving supporters an opportunity to interact with basketball student-athletes in unique ways.
